WhatsApp link generator (wa.me)

Type a WhatsApp number and, if you like, a message. You get a wa.me link that opens a chat with that number and the text already typed, plus its QR code.

Runs 100% in your browser: no account, no upload. Nothing you type or open in this tool is sent to any server.

How to use it

  1. 1Pick the country and type the number. Brazil (+55) is preselected. Type the number with its area code; spaces, dashes and brackets are ignored. Brazilian numbers missing the 9th mobile digit get it added.
  2. 2Write the message (optional). It is encoded into the link, so line breaks, emoji and symbols like & and # arrive intact.
  3. 3Copy, test or download the QR. Copy the link, open it to check it, or download the QR code as a PNG for print and packaging.
  • The link only opens the chat. Nothing is sent until the person taps send in WhatsApp.
  • wa.me works for numbers that have a WhatsApp account; the tool checks the number's format, not whether it has an account.

Frequently asked questions

What is a wa.me link?

It is WhatsApp's public short link format: https://wa.me/ followed by the full international number, digits only. Adding ?text= with an encoded message fills in the text box.

Do I need the + or the country code?

The link needs the country code but no +, spaces or zeros. The tool builds it from the country you pick and the number you type.

Does it work for WhatsApp Business?

Yes. wa.me links open chats with regular and Business accounts alike.

Is my number stored anywhere?

No. The link and the QR code are generated in your browser; nothing you type here is sent to a server.
