WhatsApp chat to PDF
Open an exported WhatsApp chat, narrow it down by sender, dates or words, and print it as a clean, dated document. Choose "Save as PDF" in your browser's print dialog to get the PDF. Nothing is uploaded.
Runs 100% in your browser: no account, no upload. Nothing you type or open in this tool is sent to any server.
Drop the export here or
The file is read by your browser and is not sent anywhere. Close the page and nothing is kept.
How to use it
- 1Export the chat. In WhatsApp, open the chat menu and use Export chat. Without media is enough; the .zip with media also works.
- 2Open and filter. Open the .txt or .zip here and filter by sender, date range, words and message types, so the PDF has only what you need.
- 3Make the PDF. Click Make PDF. The print dialog opens with every filtered message, a header with the file name, the period, the filters and the date it was generated. Pick Save as PDF as the printer.
- The PDF is made by your browser's own print function, so margins, paper size and headers are set in that dialog.
- Photos and audio are not included; attachments appear as their placeholder text, as in the export.
- The header records when and from which file the document was generated. It is a printout of the exported text, not a certified copy.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a page or message limit?
No fixed limit. Very long chats make long PDFs and the browser may take a while; filtering by date keeps the file manageable.
Can I use the PDF as evidence?
It shows the exported text with the date it was printed, but it is not a forensic or certified record. Ask a lawyer what your case requires.
Does it work on a phone?
It works in mobile browsers that offer printing or saving as PDF; the steps depend on the browser. A computer gives the most control over margins and paper size.
Is the chat sent to a server to make the PDF?
No. The file is read and laid out in the page, and the browser creates the PDF locally.
